Design Suzuki Kizashi Apex

The Suzuki Kizashi isn’t the most popular small sedan on the market, and that’s too bad. We love the car’s sharp design, comfortable interior, and enthusiast driving experience. The only letdown is its straight-line performance. The standard 2.4-liter inline-four engine offers just 185 horsepower (180 with continuously variable transmissions) and 170 pound-feet of torque, which yields adequate but hardly thrilling acceleration. Suzuki’s Apex concept aims to rectify the power deficiency by turbocharging the Kizashi to produce up to 300 horsepower.
We’re big fans of the Suzuki Kizashi, admiring its smart styling, practicality, and engaging handling dynamics. The one area we’d address is acceleration, which is competent but hardly awe-inspiring, thanks to a 2.4-liter inline-four offering 185 horsepower (180 with continuously variable transmissions) and 170 pound-feet of torque. Suzuki will cater to our speed-freak side with a turbocharged Kizashi capable of up to 300 horsepower, debuting at the New York auto show. Read the rest of this entry »

It is very useful for auto racing as a sports car may not run on the streets. Sun car trailers are often used to get the cars on the track. Buying a car trailer from a dealer would be expensive. If you feel the need to have your own, you can reduce costs by building a car trailer itself. The materials needed are readily available in junkyards and auto parts stores. The following are the basic functions of a car trailer with a short overview on how to build a car trailer accompanies.

Frame: If you build a car-tractor-trailer, remember that the ideal should be long enough to accommodate cars and small trucks. The recommended minimum length and width for a car trailer is 16 feet and 9 feet respectively. A car trailer has a rectangular shape. Weld a rectangular frame made of 4 x 4 inch steel. The length and width of the trailer should be 16 feet and 6 feet 6 inches respectively. Hold the accuracy of measurements during welding. Cut five cross bars of 6 feet 6 inches in length. These should be fitted on the inside of the frame. Weld a ½ to a distance of 1 meter from the center, and only in the middle of the two axes. Connecting two trusses below the spring support attachment points, one at the back of the frame, and weld the last traverse along the length, entrance into the midpoints of the two short sides of the frame.

The frame is covered by heavy gauge metal plates. Approximately, 104 square meters is needed metal to cover the entire frame. But for the entire car trailer is not required. Only fitting runners for the tires would be enough. You will need two long strips equal to the length of the car trailer. Structured metal-runner would be of great benefit as it traction for the vehicles to make them. Read the rest of this entry »
